Elevator Pitch: MetroPass is a seamless feature integrated into ride-sharing apps like Pathao and Uber, allowing urban commuters to purchase metro tickets instantly via their existing app without waiting in lines. It’s for busy city dwellers who value time and convenience, ensuring they can plan multimodal trips (ride to station + metro) effortlessly, reducing daily commute stress and promoting sustainable transport.

Problem Statement: Urban commuters in cities like Dhaka face long queues at metro ticket counters or machines, leading to delays, frustration, and missed trains during peak hours. Key pain points include time wastage (up to 15-20 minutes per purchase), cash handling issues, lack of integration with other transport modes, and limited digital options for last-minute buys, exacerbating traffic congestion and inefficiency in public transit usage.

Target Audience:

• • Primary persona: Urban professionals (age 22–40) who commute daily by metro.

• • Demographics: Middle-class, smartphone users, mostly Pathao riders already.

• • Behaviors: Use Pathao for bike rides/food delivery, bKash/Nagad for payments.

• • Needs: Save commuting time, avoid cash/token hassles, integrate first/last-mile.

Competitive Landscape: Till now there is no perfect solution for this isssue. But there have Metro Card that also can be our competetitor while implementing the features.

North Star Metric: Number of metro rides booked via Pathao per month.
Reason: Captures adoption, retention, and value delivered (time saved).

KPIs:
